So which are Canada’s best companies to work for in 2019? Human capital and management consulting firm Aon Hewitt Canada has the answer.

FedEx is a good option if you’re considering jobs that don’t require a degree but still pay well. Indeed says that drivers, for instance, can make between $10.15 and $30 an hour, while warehouse workers can earn between $10.15 and $24.50 an hour. In addition to a good benefits package and tuition reimbursement, employees have access to help with child care, pet care, legal advice, and relocation. Employees also enjoy a variety of discounts and can buy stocks in the company through payroll deductions.

According to Glassdoor, a marketing strategist at Farm Credit Canada makes between $69,000 and $88,000 a year and even a summer student intern can earn good money to help pay off student loans fast. The company also offers opportunities for further career development, for instance through formal training and through mentorship and coaching.

At Equitable Bank, a finance manager can make between $56,000 and $98,000 a year, while a mortgage loan processor can earn between $34,000 and $58,000, according to PayScale. The comprehensive benefits package includes travel insurance and employees get special interest rates on their savings accounts. They even get good deals on purchasing shares in the company. Working hours are flexible and employees have access to perks such as free gym and yoga classes, free counseling and online libraries. The bank also makes an effort to celebrate the diversity of its employees with special events.

Indeed says that a financial advisor at Edward Jones can make between $20,000 and $128,000 a year, while an office administrator can earn an hourly wage of between $10.15 and $26.85. There is also a trimester bonus program based on the company’s performance. The comprehensive benefits package includes a pension plan that consists of a Group RRSP and a deferred profit sharing plan so that during good financial years you can contribute more to your retirement savings.

Crown Auto Group is one of the companies under the Dilawri umbrella. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, the company offers employee discounts on buying cars as well as servicing their cars. Davis Automotive Group, the average salary for an automotive technician is $40.36 per hour, while a customer consultant makes $14.75 an hour on average, according to Indeed. Engineering firm CIMA+ is a great place to work if you want to do one of the highest paying jobs in the world. Glassdoor says that a project engineer, for instance, can earn between $69,000 and $121,000 a year, while a project manager can earn between $57,000 and $91,000. At the Canadian Apartment Properties and Real Estate Investment Trust, or CAPREIT, an agent can earn between $10.15 and $20.75 per hour, according to Indeed. There are other reasons why being a real estate agent can be one of the best jobs for moms if you work at CAPREIT: benefits include an employee savings program, employee discounts, training programs and, once the kids are grown, summer employment opportunities for students.
An insurance broker at the British Columbia Automobile Association can earn between $41,000 and $70,000 a year, while a senior business development manager can make between $63,000 and $132,000, according to PayScale. Employee perks include a subsidized cafeteria and free fitness center, a shuttle service between the office and the nearest SkyTrain station, and discounts on insurance, Vancouver Whitecaps tickets, car rentals and hotels stays. A customer service representative at ATB Financial can make between $20,300 and $65,200 a year, while the average salary for an information systems manager – one of the highest paying in-demand jobs for women – is $122,124 a year, according to Indeed.
