Academic scholarships
Adult High School Equivalency Scholarship
Requirement: Academic achievement in the attainment of high school equivalency
Value: $500 / Up to 200 awards of $500 each are available.
Deadline: January 15, 2022.
Alberta Barley Commission – Eugene Boyko Memorial Scholarship
Value: $500/ One time
Requirement: Student entering the field of crop production and Crop processing technology studies.
Deadline: October 31, 2021.
Alberta Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship
Value: $1,500
Requirement: Academic excellence of students enrolled in a post-secondary program in an agriculture-related discipline.
Deadline: October 31, 2021.
Alberta Federation of Agriculture Scholarship
Value: $500/ One scholarship
Requirement: Academic achievement of a student pursuing post-secondary studies in agriculture and related program.
Deadline: October 31, 2021.
Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship
Value: Minimum award of $11,000 and a maximum of 15,000
Requirement: Outstanding academic achievement of students pursuing graduate studies in Alberta.
Deadline: Student Awards or Scholarships Offices at your school.
Alexander Rutherford Scholarship
Value: Up to $2,500
Requirement: Apply once your official high school transcript marks are available and when you are enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies.
Deadline: Apply online thru Student Aid Alberta.
Anna and John Kolesar Memorial Scholarship
Value: One award of $1,500
Requirement: Academic excellence as calculated from the final standing received in three high school subjects. Students must submit completed application forms to Alberta Student Aid.
Deadline: October 31, 2021
Arts Graduate Scholarship
Value: Up to seven scholarships of $15,000 each
Requirement: Outstanding abilities in music, Drama, Dance, and Literary/ Visual Arts.
Deadline: January 15, 2021
Charles S. Noble Scholarships for Study at Harvard
Value: Three scholarships of $5,000
Requirement: Academic excellence and studying at Harvard College.
Deadline: December 15, 2021
David Johnston Law Scholarship
Value: Two scholarships of $10,000 each are available.
Requirement: Enrolled in the first year of study in a law faculty at the Universities of Alberta.
Deadline: contact the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta or the University of Calgary.
Dr. Ernest and Minnie Mehl Scholarships
Value: One award of $3,500
Requirement: Chosen from recipients of the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.
Deadline: Offer thru Student Aid Alberta.
Helen and George Kilik Scholarship
Value: Two scholarships of $1,000
Requirement: Graduate of old Junior Senior High school
Deadline: December 15, 2021
Janet and Horace Allen Scholarship
Value: One scholarship of $1,500
Requirement: Academic excellence of a student from the most crown high school for their scientific accomplishment.
Deadline: October 31, 2021
Jason Lang Scholarship
Value: $1,000
Requirement: I achieved a minimum grade of 3.2 on a 4.0-point scale in the previous fall and winter terms.
Deadline: Submit your completed application form to the Student Awards Office at your educational institution.
Jo-Anne Koch for Bright Children Society Scholarship
Value: $1,500
Requirement: Enrolled full-time in the second or subsequent year of a Bachelor of Science program in chemical engineering nursing or social work at a post-secondary institution in Alberta.

Keyera Energy – Peter J. Renton Memorial Scholarship
Value: Two scholarships of $3,000
Requirement: Academic achievement in a field related to the oil and gas industry.
Deadline: October 31, 2021
Lois Hole Humanities and Social Sciences Scholarship
Value: Seven scholarships of $5,000
Requirement: Enrolled full-time post-secondary studies in the faculty of humanities, faculty of social science, and faculty of Art.
Deadline: students should contact the Student Awards Office at their schools.
Louise McKinney Post-secondary Scholarship
Value: $2,500 / Up to 1,450 scholarships are awarded annually.
Requirement: Selection based on Academic Excellence
Deadline: For the application process, contact the Student Awards Office.
Louise McKinney Post-secondary Scholarship – Study outside Alberta
Value: Up to 10 scholarships of $2,500 each are available.
Requirement: Academic achievement at a school outside Alberta, Program of study must not be offered in Alberta.
Deadline: January 15, 2022
Mildred Rowe Weston Memorial Bursary
Value: 3 scholarships of $1,000 each
Requirement: Completed at least three courses through the ADLC as shown on the Alberta Transcript of High school achievement.
Deadline: Students will automatically be considered for these awards when they apply for the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.
Northern Alberta Development Council Bursaries Program
Value: From $6,000 to $12,000
Requirement: Return service bursary based on employment in Northern Alberta.
Deadline: Application forms are available from Student Awards Offices and on the NADC website
Northern Alberta Development Council – First Nations Metis and Inuit Bursary
Value: $6,000
Requirement: Can provide proof of Indigenous, Bursary for returning service based on employment in Northern Alberta.
Deadline: Contact your local post-secondary school or Alberta Native Friendship Center.
Leaders in Equality Award of Distinction (LEAD) Program
Value: $225,000 is available through the program, and 90 students will receive $2,500 each for their studies.
Requirement: Enrolled in a program that will advance gender equality. Must be 30 years or younger by March 31, 2021.
Deadline: March 31, 2021
Rutherford Scholars
Value: $2,500
Requirement: Top ten students from the recipients of the Alexander Rutherford scholarship, as determined on the first writing diploma Examinations.
Deadline: Recipients are selected based on the first writing of Diploma Examinations from qualifying subjects.
Sir James Lougheed Award of Distinction
Value: $20,000
Requirement: Academic excellence in a graduate program outside Alberta.
Deadline: January 15, 2022
Tiessen Foundation Broadcast Scholarship
Value: $750
Requirement: Graduate from Alberta high school in the current Academic year and enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program related to the field of Broadcasting
Deadline: October 31, 2021
WorldSkills Legacy Scholarships – Team Canada
value: $1,200
Requirement: Must have a letter of endorsement from Skills Canada Alberta.
