It’s a new school year for Edmonton Public Schools and students are starting their first day of class is September 1st
For the upcoming school year of 2022-2023, classes will start on September 1st.
This is a significant change from the regular start date of September 3 or September 6,
The decision came from the Edmonton Public School Board in order to give families more time to plan for the new school year.
The board noted that this will also give students a chance to enjoy the last few weeks of summer break.
