The Global Peace Index (GPI) lists the countries considered the safest in the world. It comes out annually and is made by the Institute for Economics and Peace, an organization focused on promoting peace.

They research countries to see which are safest and most dangerous. The GPI report includes 163 countries and ranks them based on 23 different factors. These factors include the number of conflicts a country has, the level of trust, political stability, the risk of terrorist attacks and homicides, and the amount of money a country spends on its military compared to its overall economy.
