The good news is that several of our favourite nations are among the world’s healthiest, which means you can indulge in delectable cuisines and marvel at unique landscapes while sticking to your resolutions.

The Happiest Countries in The World 2021, Finland has won the annual list based on data from the Gallup World Poll for the fourth year in a row, with Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland, and the Netherlands coming in second, third, fourth, and fifth place, respectively.

The United States ranked 13 five years ago and is now ranked 18th, down from the 13th five years ago. While pandemics have caused significant disruption to practically everyone’s everyday life worldwide, the recent release of the 2021 World Happiness Report reveals a remarkable resiliency in how people perceive their lives overall.

Why do the Nordic countries always rate so high?

Even after a year, it appears that a few Nordic countries have maintained their top rankings. For example, Finland has been crowned the happiest country globally for the fourth year in a row, followed by Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, and the Netherlands.

While I would initially be skeptical of the appeal of living in a chilly country (there must be something I’m missing), it does not appear to be a coincidence. Indeed, the Nordic countries have consistently ranked high on the happiness index due to the support they receive from their governments.
