The World’s Most Powerful People 2018 Of the nearly 7.5 billion people on the planet, Forbes has identified the one person out of every 100 million whose actions mean the most.
Four factors were taken into account to select each of the World’s Most Powerful People: how many people over whom they have power; the financial resources they control; if they have to influence in more than one sphere; and how actively they wield their ability to change the world.

Larry Page is an American computer scientist and Internet entrepreneur who co-founded Google with Sergey Brin. Page is the chief executive officer of Alphabet Inc. After stepping aside as Google CEO in August 2001 in favour of Eric Schmidt, he re-assumed the role in April 2011.

Angela Dorothea Merkel is a German politician serving as Chancellor of Germany since 2005 and leader of the center-right Christian Democratic Union since 2000. Merkel has been widely described as the de facto leader of the European Union, the most powerful woman in the world, and the leader of the Free World.

Donald John Trump is the 45th and current President of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens and received an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Xi Jinping is a Chinese politician currently serving as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission. Often described as China’s “paramount leader,” in 2016, the CPC officially gave him the title of “core leader.”
